BL and Li'l Spencer

I've got some pretty big things brewing, so I've had to push Barkeater Lake and Li'l Spencer aside while I get the paying jobs in order.

This, unfortunately is how it goes until one single gig can cover the bills. The Elderberries helps, MAD helps and the rest has to come from freelance work, which I have to take time to go out and get.

If I pick up a lot of new work, the fun stuff (BL, Li'l Spencer and DAW posts) has to wait. If there's a dry spell, that gives me time to work on all your afore-mentioned favs.

You can continue post mean and cutting anonymous posts, send me emails that accuse me of being a slacker and a failure, but it will not change things. Its nice to have fans, but fans do not run the show.

I do what I do and you all are welcome to watch and continue to comment. Just know that your chides and mini-diatribes are only for your own self-assurance.

Reverse psychology will not work, me lad. We know you cry yourself to sleep after reading criticism. You can pretend you have big projects ongoing, but I doubt it. If you had, you'd have been braying about them as you did Elderberries. Nice artwork there, by the way. Drawing is not your problem. If it did not bother you, you'd have not cut off the comments over at BL. I suspect you may do so here in the future, and that the only reason you are leaving them up here is to show how "open minded" you are. Barkeater Lake is dead. Hopefully you'll eventually get the books you promised to the people, including me, and may eventually get out CM which was the main reason I joined your club. I do not ask for a refund as it gives me license to hassle you over your slackerism. So take it like a man.

I understand where you are coming from because I would rather be playing as well. I am also looking for work so I understand what you are talking about... GOod Luck out there!!!

Can't understand why you don't put Barkeater Lake on hiatus for a year or two. You need to pay the bills, man, we really do understand, but coming by the website and finding nothing new is getting really old.

I think it might be better if you just put it out of it's misery. It was a GREAT strip, I have nothing but respect for your work, but it didn't catch on with the public at large (for whatever stoopid, inbred, nose-pickin' reason).

Go ahead and lay a Breathed or Watterson on us, we'll get over it. If the time ever comes, resurrect the strip. But as things are, this is just cruel.
