Barkeater Lake (and some Fake Rockstar) News

For those readers of Barkeater Lake, here's some news...

For those who haven't figured it out, I've been updating the comic in chunks, in order to get caught up. Be sure to hit the "previous" button to get all the funny. I'd like to be ahead of the game, as far as strips are concerned, by tomorrow, but we'll see...

On the store front... get it? "store front"?... heh...

ANYWAY... the general store will be back in some form within the next month. I've just verbally agreed with Bollard Publishing, here in Portland, to let them handle all orders, shipping and distribution of all BL and Fake Rockstar merchandise. They will also be printing all our shirts through an affiliated company called "I Hate T-shirts".

This means that when you order stuff after the launch of the new store, there will be no delay in shipping caused by my lack of time. I will be overseeing things on my end, but not nearly as involved in the day to day shipping and orders. There will be no more pre-orders for anything. No more waiting months for a book to print. We'll sell things when we have them.

As for the pre-orders of CHPMNK and Escape and T-shirts... I'll be sending out an email to everyone who pre-ordered, but here's the the quick skinny: I way underestimated writing, editing, producing, laying out and printing two books on my own. Its a monumental task that I've been making daily progress on, but is still going to take at least another month to have a final product in hand. The T-shirts will go out as soon as the new store is up.

I'm offering full refunds to anyone who feels like they've waited long enough. No questions asked and no hard feelings. Just email me at corey@barkeaterlake.com with "Refund" as the subject. I'll immediately initiate a transfer of your funds. Be sure to forward any order info you have as well.

We aren't giving up and we continue to plug along. It took me nearly a year to realize I can't do all of this alone. It feels good to know that help is on the way.

Look for a Newsletter sometime next week and a company email concerning the book situation.

Cheers!

Corey
